On Bill SB 531

Sb 531 was a bill that amends the California Education Code to require mandatory, age-appropriate mental health education for all public school students in grades 1 through 12.. It aims to destigmatize mental health challenges, introduce necessary vocabulary early on, and equip students with the tools to recognize distress and seek help early.
As of February 2nd, 2026, the bill has officially failed to pass.

On Bill AB 762

AB 762 is an active bill that bans disposable vapes, aiming to eliminate the single-use lifecycle of electronic cigarettes to reduce hazardous electronic waste and prevent fires caused by lithium-ion batteries, while also aiming to reduce youth access to disposable vapes.

On Bill AB 1204

AB 1204 is an active bill that overhauls the state's Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) to increase financial support for vulnerable student populations and establish regional cost adjustment factors for school districts.

AB 1552 is an active bill that updates mandatory history and government courses across California's public colleges to explicitly teach civic engagement, civil discord, and the defense of democratic institutions. It aims to combat voter disengagement, equip students with conflict-resolution skills, and prepares them to sustain democratic structures against political division.

On Bill AB 2436

AB 2436 is an active bill that permanently extends in-state tuition eligibility for Team USA student-athletes who train in elite-level programs in California. It aims to eliminate financial barriers for athletes,  position California as an elite training hub, and built momentum for the 2028 LA Olympics.
